Road Trip in Singapore - South East Asia Aquarium

Hello!!!

After leaving Singapore for a few months, I went back for my holiday. My mom said that I am a tourist because of the way I dress and the way I speak (although I still have Singaporean accent). So, being a 'tourist' in Singapore, I went to explore the tourist attractions in Singapore with Basil.

Actually come to think of it, I think the people living in the country don't go to their own country's tourist attractions. I haven't taken the Singapore Flyer nor the Duck Tour before since it was launched. And this is my first time going to the South East Asia Aquarium and Gardens by the Bay.

Because we had a car, so we decided to go on a road trip around Singapore. The first stop, we went to Tanjong Katong to have wanton noodles!!! Basil asked me what is the 1st dish I want to eat when I'm back in Singapore and I replied wanton noodles!!! Haha. For those people staying in the east side of Singapore, I guess you guys will know this place. I love their home made chili. It's really spicy. Haha. I tried a little and I couldn't take it already.

After lunch, we went to the South East Asia Aquarium at Sentosa. Apparently, it's the world's largest aquarium accredited by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™. It's my 1st time here and I thought it's like Underwater World. But the only thing different is, it's much bigger and there's more spices of fishes to see I guess. I am not a 'fish' person, so I think all the fishes look the same to me. But I do like colourful fishes though. There's also a 4D theatre about ship wreck and I think the story is damn stupid. The main character of the story are from some old chinese dynasty and they were speaking english -_-|||   But I like the way they design the place. After everyone exit the theatre, there was a shipwreck scene in the aquarium.

#1 After you enter the entrance, there's some cultural introduction of the South East Asia countries.
#2 This is the ship wreck scene I was talking about.
#3 A school of fish. Haha.

#6 I like the concept that the floor is transparent so that you can see the fishes underneath. I was asking Basil will it crack if someone super fat stepped on it and he said no. Because it didn't crack when I stepped on it -_-|||
#7 There is a touch pool where you can touch those sea animals like star fish and baby sharks.
#8 Somehow these stingray reminds me of Steve Irwin =(
#9 And Basil was contemplating how much will it cost if we were to eat the whole thing -_-|||
#10 Seahorse!!!
#11 The male seahorses carry the babies until they are born. I guess most of you already know that. Haha.
#12 This octopus is damn ugly la.
#13 Starfish!!! I remember when I was in secondary school, my teacher told me about the 'Starfish story'.

#18 Look at the dolphin!!! So pretty!!!
#19 Jellyfish
#20 There's this super huge glass window where you can view the fishes. But my phone camera couldn't capture the whole thing.
#21
#22 I wanted to take a OOTD but it failed because the camera overexposed in the dark -_-|||

#24 This fish looks like someone drew on it's body.

#33
#34 That's the pufferfish. I think it looks cuter when it is puffed up. Haha. If not it looks damn ugly =(
#35
#36 That's us =)
#37 With the hammerhead shark!! The lady helping us to take that picture was very nice. She waited for the shark to come and snapped the picture for us. But we waited for so long that my smile looks fake. haha.
#38 They had this Noah's ark concept for the decoration outside. LOL. That explains the giraffe I guess.
#39 The summary of the aquarium =)

After the aquarium, we thought that it was quite early, so we decided to go to Gardens by the Bay to take a look since both of us haven't been there. We wanted to go up to the giant tree and inside the 2 flower dome but we didn't know that we needed to pay to get in. We decided that it wasn't worth it to pay because we were only there for less than half a day. So we just walked around the place and fed the bugs and mosquitos there with our blood -_-||| Luckily it was already evening time when we reached there, so the sun wasn't as strong as in the day, if not I'll become BBQ already =(

But overall, the place is quite pretty on the outside. I'll go there another time to see what is inside the flower dome and go to the top of the giant trees to take a look.

After looking at stingrays, we had cravings for BBQ stingrays. So, we had BBQ stingrays and clams at Chomp Chomp!!! Haha. I am also having cravings for it now =(

PS. My camera doesn't do the pictures justice because I'm only using my iphone camera. The scenery looks nicer in real life.
